The main objective of the Company is to manufacture, process, refine, sell buy and deal in drugs, drug sundries, chemical, gynecic, therapeutical, antibiotic, pharmaceutical, herbal, bacteriological and biological products and presentations of all kinds and household, industrial, patent and proprietary articles or every description.
To carry on business as manufacturing, dispensing and analytical chemists and druggists together with all or any of the trades or business usually carried on in connection herewith and to manufacture, import, export, produce, prepare, refine, buy, sell, manipulate and deal in all kinds of contraceptive, sedatives, sanitary towels, rubber goods, baby products, salts, acids, alkalies, medicines, medicame herbs, oils, detergents, disinfectants, insecticides, fungicides, pub health products, plastics, textile and other related fabrics and mater synthetic fiber and cotton fiber and the products made there from, perfumes, scents, powders, face powders, face creams, cosmetics, soaps preparations and articles and other goods, articles, accessories and things of any description whether analogous to the foregoing or not, which can be conveniently or advantageously carried on in connection with such business as aforesaid or any of them.

Mr. Adnan Asdar Ali
Mr. Adnan Asdar Ali has over 25 years of progressively diverse experience in the discipline of structural and forensic engineering and construction management. He is the co-founder of Multinet Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. and is their current Chief Executive. Adnan is also a Partner at AAA Partnership (Pvt.) Ltd., a company he formed in 1987 where he overlooked the entire project management portfolio of the organization covering vast disciplines of structural and forensic engineering, construction management, project management, liaison with local and international consultants, quality control and testing procedures for a wide range of construction and other engineering material.
Lately, most of Adnan’s time has been dedicated to philanthropic efforts with special interest in working on housing schemes for low income areas, reconstruction of homes and shelters through disaster management initiatives. He is actively involved with The Citizens Foundation (TCF), an NGO where he also plays the role of a member of the executive committee. In 2005 Adnan led the rehabilitation efforts of the TCF Relief Fund to build shelters and homes in areas devastated by the earthquake – an effort which led to the construction of over 8,200 earthquake resistant houses throughout the Kashmir area. Currently, is deeply involved with Karachi Relief Trust, which he co-founded in 2007, to manage its volunteers on the field, facilitate their immediate relief efforts and to reconstruct homes in the flood affected areas in Pakistan.

Adnan started his career with Twin City Testing in Minnesota, USA after which he joined 3M Corporation in Minnesota, USA where he conducted investigative work for plants across USA for failure prevention and rehabilitation of operating units. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin after which he went on to complete his M.S. in Forensic Engineering from University of Minnesota.
Mr. Rashid Abdulla
Mr. Rashid Abdulla has been associated with the IBL/UDL Group through his family ownership in the Group Companies. More than 45 years ago, he started his career in the Group as a part time Trainee while completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. He has since risen in the Group through various appointments of increasing responsibility and has held the position of CEO and Group M.D. for the last twenty years. Mr. Abdulla is one of the most senior and respected business professionals in the country and in addition to his active supervision of the Group companies; he is an avid sponsor of various philanthropic and charitable organizations. He holds directorships in several Groups companies.
Ms. Shaista Khaliq Rehman
Ms. Shaista Khaliq Rehman completed her Bachelor of Architecture from Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture in 1997. She joined Arshad Shahid Abdullah (Private) Limited as an Architect/Project Manager. Thereafter, she was appointed the Chief Operating Officer due to her interest and grasp of
management aspects of processing projects. The added responsibilities of the COO position deeply involved her into Business Operations, Finance, Public Relations, Contract Administration, Office Administration and Human Resource aspects of running a Private Architectural Firm.
She is also on the board of directors of The Searle Company Limited as an Independent Female Director and also chairing the Audit & HR remuneration committee of the Company.
Mr. S. Nadeem Ahmed
Mr. Nadeem Ahmed is the Chief Executive Officer of The Searle Company Limited, serving the organization successfully since the last 9 years. He has 26 years of rich experience of Pharmaceutical and healthcare Industry. Apart from The Searle Company Limited, he is on the Board of Directors of IBL HealthCare Limited, United Distributors Pakistan Limited, United Brands Limited, International Franchises Private Limited, Dunkin Donuts, IBL Operations Private Limited, Searle BioSciences Private Limited, Searle Pharmaceuticals Private Limited, Searle Laboratories Private Limited, Nextar Pharma Private Limited and IBL Future Technologies Private Limited. He is also a Board member of Employers Federation of Pakistan. Mr. Nadeem is actively associated at Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association (PPMA) forum, where he leads as Chairman Pricing Committee. He holds graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Management and post graduate degree in Management Engineering. He is also a research student of Doctorate in Business Administration, pursuing his dissertation on ‘Evolving Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices in Europe and Asian Markets: Challenges & Opportunities’.
He has attended courses, workshops and seminars at THE IET (London, UK), Adamson University (Manila, Philippines) Harvard University (Boston, USA) University of Oxford, European University and Business School (Geneva, Switzerland). He has also received Fellow status from Chartered Management Institute (CMI, Royal Charter, England), member status from The Institute of Engineering and Technology UK and Highest Award of Honor from Cyprus International University, Nicosia, Cyprus. He has also delivered lectures in the leading business universities and institutions of Pakistan.
Mr. Zubair Razzak Palwala
Mr. Zubair Razzak Palwala is an MBA, started the career with A.F. Ferguson & Co. He completed the article ship in 1991 and passed the intermediate examination from ICAP. Thereafter joined Philips Electrical Industry as Internal Auditors for about 3 years, he then joined the IBL Group in 1994 and since then is affiliated with the group. He performed as the Head of First UDL Modaraba for about 10 years, had also supervised the retail business i.e. Habitt and Dunkin Donuts and is carrying variable portfolios such as Secretary of The Searle Company Limited, Group Director Finance & Managing Director of United Distributors Pakistan Limited. Mr. Palwala has ability to build controls analyze critically and take appropriate decisions.
Mr. Ayaz Abdulla
Mr. Ayaz Abdulla has been affiliated with The Searle Company Limited (TSCL) since 2007. He is a Certified Director from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan, and has served on the TSCL Board of Directors since 2007. In addition to TSCL, Ayaz also serves on the Boards & several Board committees of IBL Healthcare Limited, United Brands Limited, United Distributors Pakistan Limited and International Brands Limited.
Ayaz’s diverse professional experience spans sectors such as energy, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods & retail. He has previously worked at GE Power Systems in USA, BP Pakistan Exploration & Production, and served as CEO of International Franchises (Pvt.) Ltd where he led the comprehensive turnaround of the retail business. Ayaz has also previously led Supply Chain, Technical Operations & Projects at TSCL, spearheading transformation projects related to pharmaceutical operations with a focus on automation, efficiency & compliance.
Ayaz is passionate about corporate governance, strategy, organizational transformation & society. His functional experience spans roles in strategy, business development, corporate finance, project management, operations management, engineering, supply chain management, marketing & sales. He has also worked on several non-profit endeavors in Pakistan including major earthquake & flood relief efforts through the TCF Relief Fund and Karachi Relief Trust respectively.
Prior to starting his professional career, Ayaz completed his Bachelor of Science (with High Distinction) and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester, NY.
Mr. Asad Abdulla
Mr. Asad Abdulla has been associated with the IBL Group since 2002 in various operating capacities. He is currently working in United Distributors Pakistan Limited (UDL) as Chief Executive Officer handling the agricultural products sales, marketing and distribution. Asad is a Certified Director from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan and is serving as a Director on the Boards of; United Distributors Pakistan Limited, The Searle Company Limited & United Brands Limited.
An entrepreneur at heart, Asad has a keen interest in Business Development and Technology and has served the Group well in creating partnerships with leading global brands in both the consumer and agriculture space as well as spearheading the Group’s entry into ecommerce and its allied services.
Asad completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Rochester, NY, as well as a Certificate of Management Sciences in Management Information Systems from the Simon School of Business Administration, NY.
